Modeling Engine

Energent solutions have exceptional capabilities for assessing your energy data and uncovering opportunities for energy efficiency. These unique and effective analytics are derived from our proprietary energy performance modeling engine.

The modeling engine developed by Energent is a sophisticalted set of computer algorithms for predicting expected energy consumption for a given process. The modeling engine uses historical data from actual systems and equipment in your facility to create a picture of a facility’s expected (or predictive) baseline energy consumption. Also incorporated into the expected model are the different physical and environmental factors driving energy usage.

  • Historical energy demand
  • Energy market pricing trends
  • Expected weather patterns
  • Production schedules
  • Occupancy projections

Once the expected baseline model is established, actual, real-time energy use information is collected and compared against against it. This comparison highlights energy usage above or below the baseline and identifies unusual patterns of consumption.

The ongoing monitoring of real-time energy data against the expected baseline highlights data anomalities not visible in demand data alone and consumption patterns that would otherwise remain hidden. The inclusion of key factors into the model means that resulting data is exceptionally accurate and reliable for making sound decisions.
